What is this lesson about?
This Bali ESL lesson plan takes B1–B2 learners on a cultural and linguistic journey to Indonesia’s most famous island. Students build travel-related vocabulary, explore Balinese traditions, and practise natural speaking skills while learning why Bali is called the “Island of the Gods”.
What language will students learn?
Learners study:

Travel vocabulary: temple, waterfall, terrace, sunrise hike, offering, street food

Indonesian food terms: nasi goreng, mie goreng, satay lilit, babi guling, klepon, dadar gulung
-
Cultural language: expressions for describing experiences (a feast for the senses, worth getting out of bed for, one for the memory bank)
