What is this lesson about?

This A2–B1 daily routines ESL speaking lesson explores how adults experience daily routines and free time in real life. Learners reflect on habits, energy, and choices through engaging, conversation-led tasks that feel natural and relevant.

What language do students learn?

Students practise natural, everyday language for talking about routines and free time, including:

  • describing habits and frequency in a natural way

  • talking about evenings, weekends, and changing plans

  • expressing preferences, intentions, and hesitation

How do students practise?

Learners practise through a carefully paced, speaking-first lesson flow:

  • relatable warm-up statements about daily life

  • “this or that” activities to explore preferences and routines

  • reflective speaking about evenings, free time, and energy

  • realistic situations where plans change

  • comparison of weekdays and weekends
