This B1-B2 phrasal verbs lesson introduces nine everyday expressions for talking about food and eating through the story of a dinner party that goes wrong in almost every possible way. Students notice the phrasal verbs in context, practise them in new sentences, then put them to work in a partner confession game, a group ranking task with a strict no-ties rule, and a genuine debate about cooking versus eating out.
