What is this lesson about?

This C1–C2 ESL lesson plan explores body image, self-perception, and the subtle ways we can be hard on ourselves. Learners reflect on everyday situations, social pressure, and the influence of social media through natural, conversation-based tasks.


What language will students learn?

Students develop natural, high-level language to describe thoughts, feelings, and behaviour around appearance.


How do students practise?

  • Learners build fluency through a varied, conversation-first sequence:

  • Reacting to real-life statements about appearance and confidence
